The Kerama Islands were designated a national park on March 5, 2014 (Coral Day). The Chibishi Atoll at its entrance is located about 15km west of Naha.
The Chibishi Atoll consists of three islands: Nagannu, Kamiyama, and Kuefu—with Nagannu being the largest. The surrounding waters are rich in coral reefs and marine life.
The island is made of coral sand, making it ideal for swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, and other marine leisure activities.
